Every day I post a different blog. The topics vary, but the point of each is my sharing of my journey as a disciple in the hope that it will be beneficial to you in your spiritual journey.

I use a combination of personal memories, things read, observation, and the fruit of personal prayer as the springboard from my blogs. I rely upon scripture, the teachings of the Catholic Church, and personal experience and education as I seek to make sense of the journey.

Daily Scripture Reflection and Prayer:
​
Every morning I post a reading from the daily lectionary with a reflection on the reading followed by a prayer. The reflection and prayer are from own personal prayer time that day but can be helpful to others on the journey of faith. You can find these under the "Scripture" tab in the above menu and under the "Daily Scripture Reflection" sub listing.

A Little About Dr. Kate:
​
I am a disciple on a journey of faith, and I write about my journey and offer support to others who are "on the way." I do this primarily by sharing moments and stories from my own life and trying to break them open and make sense of the journey. This is the content of my daily blog. I also do it through daily prayer shared in the scripture reflection section.
I am also a wife, a mother of three grown children, grandmother of eight. Before my retirement, I was an associate professor of pastoral theology at Mundelein Seminary and University of Saint Mary of the Lake as well as an associate dean of formation. Prior to that, I worked as the director of multiple offices simultaneously: Pastoral Services, Evangelization, Lay and Diaconate Formation, Safe Environment, and Victims Assistance Coordinator for the Diocese of Madison, WI.
